Last book read from Mindy Kailing was her "Why Not Me?" more than 10 years ago. I very much enjoyed it as it was a very funny book and made me laugh throughout the whole book.
But I didn't enjoy"Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me" as much. I guess it's because I got older and my sense of humor has changed.
I liked the parts where she talked about her experience at "The Office" show and "Saturday Night Live". Some of the contents were just her scribbling about her random thoughts, I didn't find them particularly interesting.
I do admire her sense of humor and the ability to make fun of herself. Sometimes she also exaggerates self-confidence. Overall, it's not a bad book but I think I just outgrew Mindy's genre of writing back then. I haven't read her recent books, maybe I'll have different opinions on her current style.
